Bio

Aidan began his affordable housing career in 2000 at Self-Help Enterprises in Visalia, California, as a community development organizer working with low-income communities in the San Joaquin Valley.  It was here that he was first exposed to the complex multifamily affordable housing developments that Sahale now assists clients with.  Since that first position, Aidan has held positions of progressively increasing responsibility with a number of affordable housing developers, first in Georgia and then on the West Coast.

Over his career, Aidan has played critical roles in the development of nearly 2,000 units of affordable housing across the country.  He has worked on a wide variety of types of projects including new construction, rehab, and mixed-use.  The developments have utilized many financing sources, including 9% and 4% low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, Federal Home Loan Bank AHP grants, HUD 202 grants, Section 8 contracts, HOME, CDBG, as well loans and grants from a number of cities and states.

In addition to project management, Aidan has construction managed developments and held leadership positions at affordable housing developers in Seattle and San Francisco.  While at Plymouth, he oversaw the Real Estate Department, who's responsibilities included all new development, capital projects, as well as maintenance of the existing portfolio.  He also sat on the Leadership and Executive Teams.  As Associate Housing Director at TNDC, one of Aidan's primary responsibilities was supervising and training junior staff, and he was the direct supervisor for all of the department's assistant and associate project managers.  Aidan is also a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor.
